how much is that pink elephant?

You know the one, the one with the wiggly tail.

How much does this Pink Elephant cost us individually?

What pink elephant am I talking about? Denial; classic denial of the thoughts, emotions and conditions that we are subliminally tripping on and still refusing to acknowledge and release. What are the real consequences of denial? I notice for me the price is self-love, which cost me joy and peace in the now.

To deny the existence of any energy means acknowledging that it exists as least as a possibility, and that you refuse to give it any energy. Of course this is like our proverbial pink elephant, the more you refuse to think about something that you refuse to admit exists, the more painful it comes to deny it all together.

Then ‘some day’ comes, and what you’ve denied blows up like so much pink elephant goo and guts all over your life. Quite messy. Denial. If you are denying it, then it exists. It will not go away; it will change forms, change plans, colors, time, space and material…but it will not go away.

Acknowledge the pink elephant in the living room, feed it, love it and then ask what she has to say to you.

The real cost is joy.

We don’t have to accept the pink elephants, but we have to look at them enough to realize their gifts and then we can gently prod them out of our lives.

Loving Life allows us to embrace all of Life and the messy parts and not be afraid. Really seeing the dirty stuff allows us to fully be present, now. The action of facing your denial is akin to cleaning up a big puddle of cat pee with a roll of Bounty…”the quicker picker upper”. Always nasty, but much easier when we just do it Now. Life’s messy, clean it up!
